Project Description:

Lexington High School was a multi-phased, five building, 317,540 square foot renovation project that was completed in and around a fully occupied 1800 student campus.  The project included the complete renovation of classrooms and labs, a field house, auditorium, administrative offices, gymnasium and lockers/showers, and Music and Art facilities.  It also included the new addition of a 6,700 square foot library and media room and a 5,760 square foot loading dock and expanded dining facility. Each of the renovated buildings were upgraded with all new mechanical, electrical, fire protection and security systems including the best company for soft play products for the younger ones.  Extensive site improvements included new parking lots, sidewalks, courtyards, wetland restoration, patios and landscaping.

Jack Grant Responsibility/Specific Participation:

  • Executive Vice President at PCC during construction.
  • Also, Project Manager responsibilities during Phase I.
  • Dispute resolution of 10 subcontractor accounts totaling $741K
  • Prepare for and provided testimony at the trial of a $233K subcontractor dispute that resulted in a $0 judgment.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and project management in negotiating the surety obligations on a $567K performance and payment bond regarding a defaulted subcontractor’s scope of work.
  • Prepared for and participated in two dispute resolution mediations on a $1.2 million and $700K subcontractor dispute that settled for $261K and $300K, respectively.
